Spanning, 1,500sqft, the cafe features a decor that is “kampung”, or village, inspired. Every panel of wood in the beautiful cafe is repurposed, including from disassembled houses and boats.
Shelves, bars and table tops are sourced from bookshops, a Chinese Chamber of Commerce and even from the warehouse of an old court house.
The cafe comprises several sections — an outdoor terrace, dining hall and private rooms convertible into discussion areas with TV and WiFi.
The private rooms are the venue of La Promenade Black Bean’s monthly coffee classes.
The beautiful cafe has been the venue of Lexus and BMW promos, and featured in the skits of influencer NgekTsai.
